Currently, registration on the HotCheck App is exclusively through Google. During the registration process, we collect the following information:

We do not store your uploaded images long-term beyond the processing required to provide you with the service and for a short retention period for operational purposes, such as allowing you to re-access recent results or for quality assurance. We store metadata related to your usage, such as the number of images processed and user account details.
Along with the information you provide and the images you process, we also collect data through analytics tools provided by third parties like Google Analytics, Posthog, etc. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Technical Information such as your browser type, the operating system of your device, time spent on the App, and user activity on the App.
- Aggregated data about how users interact with our Services to help us improve user experience.
- User session data on specific pages during the registration process to optimize our onboarding experience.
- User session data on specific general information pages across the site.
- Session recordings that capture how you interact with our website, including mouse movements, clicks, and page navigation. These recordings help us understand user behavior and improve our service. Session recording is enabled by default for all regions. Users will see a clear notification and can opt-out at any time through privacy settings if available.
For all regions, our session recording data is:
- Stored securely with a modern industry-leading provider (e.g., PostHog)
- Accessible only to authorized personnel
- Used solely for improving user experience and debugging issues
- Password fields are masked for security; other input fields may be recorded to better understand user behavior

Additionally, you acknowledge that information could be lost, stolen, or compromised due to various factors beyond our control.
We cannot promise that your user account information will be stored indefinitely or remain secure indefinitely.
The use of HotCheck's services is at your own risk concerning your information. Furthermore, there is always a risk of company dissolution. In such an event, we will provide a 7 consecutive days notice before shutting down our website as outlined in our Terms of Service. However, please be aware that we cannot guarantee the return or long-term availability of all your personal data in this scenario. Your use of our services is at your own risk, and it is advisable to maintain personal backups of any critical data or images. HotCheck retains your personal user account information for as long as you continue to use our services. Images you upload are processed and typically not stored long-term, except for short periods necessary for service operation or as described in Clause 1. Even after you cease to be a user of HotCheck, we may continue to store information related to your account (such as usage history or transaction records) for a reasonable period, due to operational requirements, legal obligations, or for backup and archival cycles. Your usage of HotCheck constitutes an acceptance of the fact that some of your data may remain on our servers after you have ceased to have an account. We may also store aggregated and anonymized information that is no longer personally identifiable. This aggregate data may be used for analysis, market research, and other business purposes to improve our services and understand user trends.
9. Children Under The Age of 13
HotCheck's services are not designed for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you are explicitly prohibited from using our services and must immediately cease any usage of HotCheck.
By continuing to use our services, you explicitly confirm that you are not accessing or using HotCheck from within the EU/EEA. If we determine that a user is accessing our services from the EU/EEA, we will terminate their account and access to our services immediately without notice.
This restriction is strict and non-negotiable. EU/EEA users are absolutely banned from using HotCheck services under any circumstances. Attempting to access our services from the EU/EEA through VPNs or other methods to mask your location is a violation of our terms and will result in immediate termination of service if discovered.
We hope to extend our services to EU/EEA users in the future when we can ensure full GDPR compliance.
